What happens during a childproofing assessment?
We walk through your home with you room by room, including stairs, the kitchen, bathrooms, the nursery, the garage and outdoor areas. We look at what a crawling or climbing child can reach, then put every recommendation into an itemized plan so you can decide what to install and when.
When should we childproof our home?
The easiest time is before your baby starts rolling and crawling, which for many babies is somewhere between four and eight months. Many families book during pregnancy so furniture anchoring and the nursery are done early, then add gates and locks as the baby gets mobile.
Can you childproof without damaging banisters, stone or tile?
Often, yes. Banister adapter kits, clamp systems and adhesive or magnetic hardware avoid drilling into finishes you want to protect. Where a gate has to be hardware-mounted for safety, such as the top of a staircase, we explain the options and mount it as cleanly as possible.

Yes. Many of the same tools protect pets and prepare a home for earthquakes: gates with pet doors, anchored furniture and TVs, latched cabinets and strapped water heaters. We can cover all of it in the same visit.
